FMLink HELP

Ad-Blocking Software

Based on the information that is missing from the page you were viewing, it is very likely that you have ad blocking software enabled on your system. This is most frequently done through third-party software or from a utility such as Norton Internet Security. Some software sets the ad blocking software to "on" as a default when it loads, so you may not even be aware that it is on. Once you identify that there is ad blocking software, here are the steps to follow so that you may complete what you were trying to do on FMLink:
  1. Go into the configuration settings for your ad blocking software.
  2. Turn off the ad blocking for the FMLink site. If you cannot turn it off for individual sites, you will have to turn it off for all sites until you complete the FMLink forms; then turn it back on.

The mechanics of how you do this will vary for each type of software. Because many people use Norton Internet Security, and many other systems work similarly, here is how you may turn off ad blocking for some versions of Norton Internet Security:
  1. Open Norton Internet Security.
  2. Double-click Ad Blocking.
  3. In the Ad Blocking window, in the Ad Blocking Settings for drop-down list, select the account that you want to verify (e.g., supervisor, username, etc. ).
  4. Note whether Ad Blocking is turned on or not for this account.
  5. Check or uncheck Turn on or off Ad Blocking for this entire account.
  6. Click OK.
  7. Click the X in the top right of Norton Internet Security to close the window.

If you wish to turn off Ad Blocking for FMLink only, but leave it on for other sites...
  1. Open Norton Internet Security.
  2. Select Options.
  3. Select the Web Content Tab.
  4. Click Add Site.
  5. Enter www.fmlink.com.
  6. Click Ad Blocking Tab on the right hand side of the dialog box.
  7. Click the Add... button under the Ad Blocking window.
  8. Click the Permit button and enter www.fmlink.com in the box.
  9. Click OK.
  10. Click OK.
  11. Click the X in the top right of Norton Internet Security to close the window.
  12. Now in Internet Explorer go to Tools / Internet Options.
  13. Click on the Delete Files... button and then click Ok to clear all files that are cached.

After you have turned off Ad Blocking for FMLink, try to access the page on FMLink that was not working properly. If it still does not work, e-mail us at info@fmlink.com or call us at 301/365-1600. If you e-mail us, please provide your phone number.
