ACGIH has released an updated version of its top-selling industrial ventilation manual |
February 3, 2010 – ACGIH, the American Conference of Government Industrial Hygienists, has released the 27th Edition of Industrial Ventilation: A Manual of Recommended Practice for Design. This ACGIH Signature Publication is an industry standard in industrial ventilation and is one of over 25 titles featured in the ACGIH Signature Publications Series.
Since its first edition in 1951, Industrial Ventilation: A Manual of Recommended Practice has been used by engineers and industrial hygienists to design and evaluate industrial ventilation systems. The new version continues the tradition.
The new edition of the top-selling guide contains a wealth of relevant and practical information on the design, maintenance, and evaluation of industrial exhaust ventilation systems, says ACGIH. The book features tables and illustrations that help provide easy interpretation.
Some of the highlights of the new edition, developed by the ACGIH Industrial Ventilation Committee, include:
- Redrawn figures and VS prints;
- Revised Chapter 6 – Design Issues – Hoods;
- Revised Chapter 8 – Air Cleaning Devices; and
- New sections in Chapter 13 (Section 13.27 – Hot Process Ventilation; Section 13.67 – Ventilation Requirements for Engineered Nanomaterials).
