All Corsair power supply units receive 80 PLUS "green" certification

All Corsair power suppliers, including
these TX units, are certified
as being at least 80 percent efficient

May 2, 2008—Corsair, global provider of computer and flash memory products, recently announced that its line of Power Supply Units (PSUs) has been awarded 80 PLUS Certification, including the HX, TX, and VX Series.

80 PLUS Certification, the gold standard for power supply energy efficiency, requires computer and server PSUs to be at least 80 percent efficient at 20-percent, 50-percent and 100-percent rated load, ultimately improving computer stability and saving money on electricity bills. This efficiency also brings performance benefits such as reduced heat output, which increases system reliability and minimizes the need for cooling fans, notes Corsair.

For more information on Corsair products and technology, visit the Corsair Web site.
