by Brianna Crandall — September 22, 2014—Graphic design services firm QA Graphics was recently selected to create a new system graphics project for Bluestone Energy Services, which provides professional engineering and project development services for utilities, retail and corporate clients.

Bluestone Energy has reportedly developed and implemented hundreds of heating/ventilation/air-conditioning (HVAC), lighting and process energy-conservation projects. The company approached QA Graphics with an interest in not only developing accurate, high quality graphics, but creating an innovative platform and graphic solution. Bluestone Energy wanted it to be something customers “truly want to look at.”

“We work with a lot of large data centers that need to see what is going on at all times. Large pieces of equipment need to communicate with everything else and be integrated into the building,” said Coy Stine, Director of Data Center Services. “We had a tight deadline and needed the graphics to be ready for pre-existing data points.”

QA Graphics worked closely with Bluestone Energy to create a realistic three-dimensional (3D) graphic library of its integrated equipment. The realistic graphics provided ease of understanding the equipment and enhanced the overall experience for the end users.

“The end product was graphically just what we were looking for at a reasonable price,” says Stine. “We know of other companies, but the knowledge and enthusiasm QA Graphics exudes is a huge benefit. They know the requirements for our business, especially with Tridium. We didn’t have to explain, which allowed us to get right into the aesthetics and receive a quick turnaround.”

QA Graphics says it can provide system graphic development regardless of location, and the company’s design team of mechanical engineers can create system graphics for any type of building automation system.
