Spanish BREEAM organization gets national accreditation

by Brianna Crandall — October 27, 2014—U.K.-based BRE (Building Research Establishment) announced October 15 that the national program operator for its BRE Environmental Assessment Method (BREEAM) in Spain, ITG (Instituto Tecnológico de Galicia), has achieved accreditation from Spanish national accreditation organization ENAC for the Commercial, Residential and In-Use BREEAM schemes it operates.

ITG is the first BREEAM national scheme operator to be accredited by its national accreditation body, and one of the first companies in Spain to receive this recognition, notes BRE.

Managing Director of BRE Global Richard Hardy commented, “This achievement is a result of ITG’s hard work and commitment to providing credible certification in relation to BREEAM ES.”
