October 3, 2005—The Association of Registered Interior Designers of Ontario (ARIDO) announced September 23 the recipients of the influential ARIDO Awards of Excellence. The Awards are considered the heart of IIDEX/NeoCon Canada, the country’s largest exposition and conference for the design, management, and construction of the built environment.
Twenty-eight exceptional designs were celebrated in the annual event that recognizes creativity and professional achievement in Ontario’s Interior Design community. The ARIDO Awards honored such diverse projects as a child-care center, an American museum, an airport, a mailroom, a culinary arts teaching facility, and custom home furnishings.
The ARIDO Awards of Excellence include the categories: Residential, Retail, Workplaces, Public & Institutional Facilities, and Furniture & Product Design. The ARIDO Awards of Merit encompass the categories: Residential; Retail Spaces; Workplaces; Marketing Centers; Public & Institutional Facilities; Resturants, Bars, & Clubs; and Furniture & Product Design.
