February 23, 2007—The 2007 AHR Expo Innovation Awards were presented at the AHR Expo in Dallas, Texas, on January 30. The fifth annual competition was designed to encourage the development of products that are both creative and useful, meet today’s HVAC/R demands, and feature new technology that will have a significant impact on the residential, commercial, or industrial markets, according to AHR organizers.
Sponsored by International Exposition Company (IEC), the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) and the Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Institute (ARI), the competition honors products that help HVAC&R professionals best provide safer, healthier, more efficient and/or more comfortable indoor environments.
The 2007 award winners are:

- Software—HVAC Solution: HVAC Solution 4.0
- Tools & Instruments—Newport Electronics: Newport iSE
- Indoor Air Quality—Lennox International: Humiditrol
- Green Building—AO Smith Water Heaters: Vertex
