October 8, 2007—3M has introduced 3M Display Mounting Solutions to make it easier to adjust an LCD monitor—or even notebook computer—to the perfect ergonomic height. The company, a leader in office innovation, likens it to the way seat, mirrors, and steering wheel are adjusted by car drivers.
The 3M Display Mounting Solutions frees up desktop space while allowing users to easily adjust their LCD monitor or notebook screen up and down, forward and back or swivel side to side. Positioning the computer screen at eye level can reduce strain on the eyes, neck, shoulders, and back, so that users can focus on work and be more productive. 3M Display Mounting Solutions uses a patented, easy-adjust technology that provides longer lasting and more reliable performance than the standard gas spring base technology used in most monitor arms, says the company.
Available in a variety or styles to suit any desk design, the line includes two dual-mounting display models that allow multiple documents to be opened at the same time for easier referencing.
Starting in July 2007, 3M Display Mounting Solutions are available at office superstores, office supply catalogs/dealers, and online. The suggested retail price ranges from $27 to $336 depending on the model.
