Arcadis tapped to provide facility management for Dutch railway company

April 10, 2009 Arcadis, the international consultancy, design and engineering company, announced that its 50 percent subsidiary, Arcadis Aqumen Facility Management, (AAFM) has signed a contract to provide facility management services to NS Poort, the part of the Dutch railway company that is active in the (re-)development of locations, operating buildings and terrains in and around railway stations.

The contract is for a 5-year period, starting June 1, 2009. Financial details have not been disclosed.

Of the employees of NS Poort who are currently employed in a facility management capacity, the majority will be employed directly by AAFM (approximately 30 people). It is AAFM’s first contract in the transport sector.
