April 7, 2006—Two of Advanced Adhesive Technologies’ most popular adhesives have been certified to carry the Carpet and Rug Institute’s exclusive Green Label Plus designation, the highest standard for indoor air quality ever set by the carpet industry.
According to AAT, the two adhesives are AAT 275 Ultra Premium Adhesive and AAT 320 Pressure-Sensitive Carpet Tile Adhesive. Both passed the rigorous 14-day, independent testing process that screens for emissions of 15 targeted chemicals. The Green Label Plus program identifies products with the lowest overall levels of volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
Products with the Green Label Plus designation meet, and in some areas exceed, California’s stringent indoor air quality standards for low-emitting products used in commercial settings. To maintain the GLP designation, products must be re-tested on a semi-annual and annual basis.
AAT 275 Ultra Premium Adhesive is a strong, quick-grabbing adhesive used with the heaviest commercial installations. It allows an extended working time before final set and is ideal for double-glue and pattern matching applications. It carries a 7-year Double Glue Warranty.
AAT 320 Pressure-Sensitive Carpet Tile Adhesive is used with PVC and urethane-backed carpet tiles. It is formulated to allow tiles to be lifted and replaced without loss of bond or tile damage.
