September 29, 2003—Switzerland-based ABB, a power and automation technology group, has won an order to help International Transmission Company in the United States manage its power transmission assets.
ABB asset management services will help International Transmission Company track the condition of all its critical substation equipment, including transformers, circuit breakers, batteries, and relays. ABB will also help International Transmission Company with maintenance activities tracking and scheduling, data collection, integration and analysis, decision-making, and work execution.
International Transmission Company operates and maintains more than twenty-five hundred miles of overhead and underground high-voltage transmission facilities in southeastern Michigan.
