May 6, 2002—The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has presented Servidyne Systems, the energy management division of Abrams Industries, with a 2002 Energy Star Partner of the Year Award for Excellence in Energy Management. Servidyne received the award for leading its industry in successfully qualifying more buildings in 2001 for the Energy Star label than any other service provider qualified.
After sharing the 2001 Partner of the Year Award, Servidyne Systems claimed sole possession of the 2002 Energy Star Partner Award for Excellence in Service Provider Performance. Abrams’ energy services arm is the only third-party service provider among the 36 organizations that won 2002 Energy Star Awards.
A pioneer of energy benchmarking in the early 1980s, Servidyne ranks among US leaders in accrediting buildings for Energy Star, having qualified 20% of the Energy Star labeled buildings nationwide. Through this commitment to continuous improvement of energy performance, the operations of these buildings now realize significant energy cost savings for their owners without sacrificing building occupants’ personal comfort.
The Energy Star Award recognizes businesses and organizations that have taken decisive action to protect the environment by providing and promoting energy-efficient consumer products and facilities. Buildings that have earned Energy Star accreditation use about 40% less energy with no compromise in comfort.
