October 12, 2007—The Construction Services division (ABA Services) of Adams-Bickel Associates, Inc. (ABA) has been awarded a restoration and expansion project for the Community Arts Center in Wallingford, Pennsylvania. ABA is an award-winning contractor serving private and public clients throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.
The project involves restoration of the historic Community Arts Center, expanding its gallery space and providing a safe, comfortable and easily accessible Arts Center for its more than 14,000 visitors each year, says the company.
The Community Arts Center Accessibility Project includes the restoration of the main building to preserve the historic and artistic facility; additional dedicated gallery space and an elevator to the main building. The multi-use gallery will be the area’s pre-eminent exhibition place with the appropriate lighting and space to exhibit a variety of art. It will be a three-story, 8,000 square foot addition to the existing 1889 stone structure. A four-stop elevator, fire stairs and handicapped bathrooms will also be added to provide everyone access to every floor of the Main Building.
The grand opening for the addition is slated for December 31, 2007.
