OSHA is adding an extra week to the public hearing on its proposed ergonomics standard May 8-12 in Washington, D.C., to accommodate the more than 300 requests the agency received from individuals and organizations that want to testify in Washington. The location will be announced at a later date.
The informal public hearing schedule for the ergonomics proposal is now as follows:

The hearing begins every day at 8:30 a.m. and runs approximately until 6:00 p.m., except the opening day, March 13, in Washington, when the hearing begins at 9:30 a.m.
The comment period on OSHA’s proposed ergonomics standard was earlier extended to March 2, 2000. The OSHA ergonomics proposal appeared in the Nov. 23, 1999, Federal Register. Copies of the regulatory text, as well as the preamble and other supporting materials, are available on the agency’s website at www.osha.gov under “Ergonomics.”
