Adesso’s mini wireless keyboards designed for mobile, point-of-sale, and special business needs

September 7, 2005—The WKB-4000 series wireless SlimTouch keyboard by Adesso, Inc., has a built-in TouchPad integrated pointing technology: 2.4GHz allows the keyboard to roam freely from the main terminal or PC without the need for close proximity or line of sight. The SlimTouch series keyboard is smaller and thinner in design and is ideal for mobile, point-of-sale (POS), and business environments, according to Adesso, a leading manufacturer and distributor of innovative keyboards, tablets, mice, touchpads, and input peripherals.

The Adesso wireless SlimTouch keyboards complement contemporary PC systems and flat LCD monitors while also providing the necessary input capabilities for POS terminals where space is constrained. They can also be placed in conference rooms, auditoriums, and other presentation environments. They can instantly go mobile easily fitting in a briefcase or backpack. When the user is on the road, the USB mini-receiver lugs directly into a notebook or another PC providing connectivity up to 20 feet.

The keyboard has integrated GlidePoint touch pad that takes the place of the traditional mouse. It has two built-in buttons for familiar mouse performance as well as an embedded numeric keypad and 12 function keys for one-touch commands. It features low-profile tactile keys for quieter typing and membrane key switches, which ensures longer life.
