March 13, 2009—The new Spectrum single-motor commercial upright vacuum from Advance is designed to deliver better dirt pickup, superior filtration, and more convenience features than vacuums costing much more. Having earned the CRI (Carpet and Rug Institute) Seal of Approval, the Spectrum is designed for users who need superior performance at an affordable price.
Available with either a 12-inch or 15-inch cleaning path, Spectrum features a two-stage, 1,000-watt motor that pulls dirt and dust from carpets in a single pass to provide cleaner-looking carpets and higher operator productivity, according to the company. The power head creates a unique seal with the carpet surface, enabling the vacuum’s suction to capture dirt and dust efficiently and keep it captured.
The Spectrum virtually eliminates the normal maintenance hassle of replacing drive belts, because the brush’s sealed drive belt is protected by a clutch system and is guaranteed against breakage for two years, says Advance. It also has a modular airflow design that allows easy access to clear clogs.
In addition, Spectrum features no-tools brush removal and a convenient detailing wand with a 1.5-foot hose that stretches to four times that length for hard-to-reach areas, notes the company. There is also hidden onboard storage for crevice and upholstery tools as well as spare dust bags. Among its other attributes are quiet operation, light hand-feel, and a balanced built-in carrying handle.
