October 18, 2002—Advanced Interactive Systems has released Total Organization Performance System (TOPS) for prequalifying general contractors, subcontractors, and construction managers.
TOPS provides owners with an objective process for evaluating construction organizations in an online environment. TOPS is an online system that permits owners to evaluate project constituents based on owner-developed criteria for organization management and project performance. With 1.4% of construction organizations failing on an annual basis, 40% of which have been in business longer than 10 years, prequalification is a multi-billion dollar issue, says Advanced Interactive Systems.
The TOPS process evaluates organizations against national data in over 30 categories. The data within the TOPS system also provides owners with the insurance that selection decisions are made on objective criteria that apply equally to every system user while ensuring that only qualified organizations are eligible for final project selection.
