AgilQuest’s new OnBoard v4.0 adds functionality and interfaces to its workplace utilization software

February 9, 2007—AgilQuest Corporation announced a major release of its OnBoard Workplace Management System. OnBoard version 4.0 includes the new OnBoard Navigator designed for administrators and meeting coordinators who manage the shared desks and conference rooms in their organizations.

OnBoard is a software platform used by corporate real estate and facilities managers to measure the actual utilization of workspaces. OnBoard helps determine which spaces can be eliminated, shared, or reconfigured. It also helps workers reserve workspaces and conference rooms and locate colleagues, and it can automatically reroute telephone extensions to workspaces on specific dates or upon check-in.

OnBoard includes a number of interfaces that make operations simple, ubiquitous, and transparent, inlcuding:

  • OnBoard Mobile interface, a Web-based tool that empowers mobile workers to locate and serve the resources needed;
  • OnBoard Kiosk, which makes onsite reservations and check-ins;
  • OnBoard XRM (extended resource manager), which integrates reservation functionality with Microsoft Outlook; and
  • OnBoard IP Phone Interface, which shows room status and allows interactive reservations and check-in via Cisco IP telephone systems.

The new OnBoard Navigator takes advanced meeting planning and coordination capabilities to the next level. Not only does Navigator integrate seamlessly with all of the other AgilQuest OnBoard applications, it brings an extended suite of functionally to the people who manage multiple conference rooms or administer the shared workspaces in their organizations. Navigator can display four distinct reservations console views

  • Day View, a calendar/diary view permitting people view all reservation activity at a glance;
  • Calendar View, designed for those who need to monitor the activity in a large number of rooms;
  • List View, a configurable spreadsheet view of activity to allow users to zoom in on just the needed information; and
  • Floor Plan View, a graphical view of activity based on a schematic of the workplace.

In addition to these four views, OnBoard Navigator greatly increases personalization so users not only can store application configurations like color, list content and order, etc., but also allow them to create lists of people and rooms of special interest to speed the reservation process. Last, a Telephone Management console enables views and controls telephone switch activity across the enterprise.
