April 16, 2004—The International Facility Management Association (IFMA) has announced that the Facility Management Knowledge Community of The American Institute of Architects (AIA) will participate as a partnering organization in IFMA’s World Workplace conference Oct. 17-19 in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA.
The AIA’s Facility Management Knowledge Community will contribute educational sessions to the program on a variety of subjects, including CAD and CAFM systems, outsourcing, change and creativity, and metrics for FM productivity. For the same registration price as IFMA members receive, AIA members will be able to attend all World Workplace 2004 events, including the welcome reception, keynote addresses, educational sessions and the EXPO hall. AIA members will also earn Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for the educational sessions they attend.
“The AIA’s Facility Management Knowledge Community is a perfect partner in this event because their focus is very much aligned with IFMA’s own mission: to guide and advance the professional development of facility professionals,” IFMA President and CEO Dave Brady said.
