July 16, 2004—The Association of Interior Specialists, a UK trade association representing companies involved in the manufacture, supply, and installation of all aspects of interior fit-outs and refurbishments, has announced the AIS Contractors Awards for 2004. The awards are presented annually to promote and encourage high levels of craftsmanship in four categories: Interior fit-outs, Ceilings, Partitioning, Sliding / folding operable walls.
The 2004 winners are:
- Interior Fit-Outs (value band 25k to 250k) Winner: Advanced Interior Solutions Ltd for its contract at Dr Now, High Wycombe Highly Commended: Pexhurst Services Ltd for its contract at The Tetley Group, Greenford

Ceilings (value band 5k to 100k) Winner: Classic Excel Ltd for its contract at Sunningdale School, Sunderland
Ceilings (value band over 100k) Winner and Gold: Stortford Interiors (UK) Ltd for its contract at Cleary Gottlieb Steen Hamilton, London Highly Commended: Johnson Brothers Ltd for its contract at Wm Morrison, Rotherham
Partitioning (value band 10k to 100k) Winner: Mirage Interiors for its contract at Shoosmiths, Birmingham Highly Commended: Optima Partitioning Systems for its contract at Derwent Valley Holdings, London
