June 13, 2005—The Matrix stacking panel system manufactured by AIS has been awarded with Indoor Air Quality Certification by the GREENGUARD Environmental Institute (GEI).
AIS Matrix was tested to GREENGUARD Indoor Air Quality Standards and verified to have minimal impact on interior environments. All GREENGUARD Indoor Air Quality Certified furniture products qualify for US Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Rating System for Commercial Interiors (LEED-CI).
Products certified by the GEI prevent interior spaces from being polluted by high levels of irritating chemicals. Chemicals emitting from common interior furnishings and construction materials have been linked to human health effects like allergies and asthma.
The GEI provides a free online guide to GREENGUARD tested and certified products to help the building/design industry and consumers locate low emitting products. For more information, visit the Web site.
