Government Affairs Assistance Grants were awarded by the Government Affairs Advisory Committee for a total of nine grants during the 2000 grant cycle. AIA recipients of the grants are:
- AIA Alabama, will use the grant to fight legislation to establish a practice act introduced by the interior designers.
- AIA New Jersey (http://www.aia-nj.org), will use its funds to thwart stock school-plan legislation.
- Virginia Society AIA ( http://www.aiava.org )will use its grant to defend qualifications-based selection procedures.
