Virage executive/conference seating combines the richness of cast aluminum with a dynamic, large-scale platform to create an executive and conference table chair with exceptional comfort and striking design. It revisits many of the classic metaphors of contemporary seating, alluding to images of the “modern” executive suite from the 1960s.
While retro in appearance, Virage employs all the ergonomic advances that have been made since the early days of modernism. The substrate is sculpted to provide support for both the upper and lower spine. The overall frame has a generous seating area, for individuals requiring more lateral space. Arms of cast aluminum can be ordered polished, or in black, silver, or taupe mica paints.
Virage’s knee-tilt reclining mechanism causes the user’s weight to work in conjunction with gravity, bringing the chair to recline in a relaxing posture. It also allows the user’s feet to remain closer to the floor than they would when reclining in a standard, center-tilt chair. The tilt lock system secures the chair in one of seven reclining positions. High-back, mid-back, and guest models are offered.
