April 2, 2004—In response to the recent changes in national security, American Bicycle Security Company, one of the largest makers of bicycle security systems in the world, has reintroduced another accessory to their line up: Safety-View doors.
American Bicycle Security Company offers both Safety-View windows and Safety-View grills. The window, made out of Acrylic material, retains the solid nature of the door and it also allows inspectors to view the contents of the inside. Acrylic material is widely known for its high impact strength and flame retardant properties. Similar materials cant match Acrylic’s combination of clarity and its ability to withstand extreme impact.
Likewise, the Safety-View grill also allows for administrators to look inside, offering maximum visibility, and minimal access for thieves. The grill is composed of 16 gauge perforated steel, with a minimal perforated hole size without room for cutting tools. The Safety-View grill window is available in three different sizes.
Options are also available for those who would like to modify their existing lockers, replacement doors are available for all 300 and 350 series Bike-Shell lockers.
