July 3, 2002—American Rubber Technologies, Inc. (ART), headquartered in Jacksonville, Florida, has developed RubberStuff Mulch, a permanent mulch from recycled tires, which eliminates frequent replacement of traditional wood mulches.
RubberStuff Mulch is a colorful, porous surface that allows water and fertilizers to reach plant and shrub roots. Designed for commercial and residential landscaping uses, the rubber chips have a natural texture.
Unlike wood mulches, RubberStuff doesn’t decompose, blow or wash away—insects don’t eat or nest in it. It also deters weed growth, doesn’t compact like roofing shingle strips, or sink into the ground like gravel or river rocks.
RubberStuff doesn’t leach and is chemically safe for use with children, pets and plants. The chips are non-flammable, non-toxic, non-staining, and 98% wire free. The color coating is non-hazardous and fade resistant. For more information, contact American Rubber Technologies.
