March 2, 2005—The Cachet Swing-Away, introduced by American Seating and Steelcase, is an ergonomic fixed lecture series that will be marketed for education facilities based on an agreement between American Seating and Steelcase.
It is height adjustable and fully articulated. The seat is mounted on a swing-away mechanism, permitting it to automatically self-center and raise and lower to accommodate different heights. Its weight-activated mechanism automatically adjusts to the user, and its slotted surface allows for natural ventilation without the need for upholstery. Optional cushions for seat and back are also available.
Cachet Swing-Away is 99 percent recyclable by weight and is GREENGUARD indoor air quality certified. It is available exclusively through American Seating’s fixed seating sales and distribution channels, including LeaderBoard dealers. The freestanding version of the Cachet chair will continue to be sold exclusively by Steelcase dealers. For more information visit American Seating. Or visit the Steelcase Web site.
