June 16, 2006—In its Chicago Merchandise Mart showroom, KI displays market-focused products for healthcare, education, and business. Among them are Genesis Desking System and StudioWorks for offices, and Flatscreen Garage for classrooms and training rooms.
The Genesis Desking System has height-adjustable desks, adding to the flexibility of systems furniture. Among its options are overhead storage, privacy screens, and modesty panels. The adjustable height can be achieved by pin-height, crank-height, or electric-height, with adjustability ranges from 27 to 43 inches. Privacy screens and dividers are attached to the legs instead of the work surface. Because it is free standing, Genesis Desking System is easy to reconfigure.
StudioWorks is a collection of furniture elements that can be combined in multiple ways to suit the office worker. The line has height-adjustable tables with storage options; lifted panels and tethered screens; benches that combine seating with storage; collaborative work islands and storage cubbies. Based on levels of privacy customers want to create in the space, tethered screens can be specified as solid, fluted Plexiglas, glazing, or a variety of other -inch materials.
Flatscreen Garage converts a basic table work surface into a computer learning center and maximizes classroom and meeting room flexibility. Flatscreen Garage securely stores flat screen monitors in a protective covering beneath the surface of a table.
