June 27, 2008—INVISTA, the manufacturer of Antron carpet fiber, unveiled more than 20 new ANTRON Lumena solution dyed nylon colors at the 2008 NeoCon World’s Trade Fair in Chicago in June, expanding a color line that is among the industry’s largest. The color additions will focus on the green, purple and blue color families, says the company.
This is the second phase of color line build-out for Antron carpet fiber. In 2007, INVISTA converted its DSDN solution dyed nylon color offering to the higher-performing Antron Lumena solution dyed nylon line, and then filled out the line with additional colors, bringing the total to 200 at the time.
Additional color family build-outs are slated over the next 12 months to round out the hue, chroma and value in the line, with goal of delivery a truly dimensional color offering in solution dyed nylon. Over 50 of these colors contain 25% pre-consumer recycled content.
Antron Lumena solution dyed nylon offers exceptional performance in challenging commercial environments, featuring excellent colorfastness and appearance retention while standing up to frequent spills and stains, as well as exposure to intense sunlight and harsh chemicals, the company notes. Each color is tested to meet exacting performance standards before it is commercialized to ensure it will withstand the abuses of real world installations.
