July 27, 2001—A new release of Aperture Technologies’ core technology platform, Aperture 7, will permit more effective management of complex physical, technical, and logical infrastructure. This new release is said to reduce the time and cost of deploying, administering, and maintaining an enterprise-wide, global infrastructure management system so that organizations can effectively manage their space, fixed and technology assets, as well as the change management (lifecycle) processes of these assets. New data entry forms and validation in Aperture 7 enhance its use and will reduce the time required for training new employees.
A number of new features help ensure data that within the Aperture System are accurate. Dynamic field choices from tables and data validation rules enable project administrators to dramatically reduce data input errors. New database design rules guarantee the consistency of looked-up data across tables eliminating superfluous data and ensuring that the appropriate data relationships exist. Aperture also says the ability to create customized data entry forms makes both updating and retrieving of information easier. New function scripting technology enables users to create macros, making it easier to complete routine tasks faster. For further information contact Aperture as well as their ad on FMLink.
