December 31, 2001—Uncertain economic conditions and the decline in the travel and meeting industry has prompted The Association of Higher Education Facilities Officers (APPA) to cancel the 2002 Emergent Building Technologies Conference (EBTC) scheduled for February 3-5, 2002 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
“With travel budgets shrinking and the events of September 11 pushing back schedules and programs, it has become more difficult for to guarantee the quality programming associate[d] with APPA, CSI, and NSCA,” said a report from APPA.
