AqilQuest Corporation takes OnBoard Workplace Management Solution to new level, releases learning management system to ease transition to flexible workplace

October 26, 2009—AgilQuest Corporation has announced a major release of its OnBoard Workplace Management Solution which takes OnBoard to a new level of usability for mobile workers and extends OnBoards integration with telephony and room management systems.

This new version adds more than 50 functional enhancements, says the company.

AgilQuest also announced the release of AgilWork e-Learning Solutions, a computer-based learning management system designed to ease the transition from a traditional work environment to a new flexible workplace for knowledge workers and their managers.

The two initial courses are the AgilWork e-Learning Employee Course and the AgilWork e-Learning Manager Course.

The employee course shows workers how to stay visible and connected to the home office, how to maintain accountability and credibility and manage their time, workload and performance. The manager course shows leaders how to improve performance while maintaining highly effective interaction, collaboration and teamwork.

The OnBoard Workplace Management Solution is a Web-based software platform that helps workers reserve workspaces and conference rooms, and locate colleagues, while monitoring the actual use of reserved or assigned workspaces. OnBoard is used by corporate real estate and facilities managers to measure the actual utilization of all office workspaces helping them determine which spaces can be eliminated, shared, or reconfigured.

OnBoard Version 5, using Web 2.0 tools, integrates RoomWizard, a touch screen room status system from Steelcase that displays real-time meeting information right outside the room, with OnBoards native ability to measure the actual use of workspaces.

RoomWizard provides a quick and easy way for people to indicate that they will actually use a scheduled room. If meeting leaders do not check in to the room, then OnBoard can “bump” the reservation, making the room available for another group. This solves the largest problem associated with conference rooms, which is rooms are booked, but go unused.

This new version of OnBoard also extends AgilQuests patented integration with telephone systems to Avaya VoIP telephony. This feature allows Avaya VoIP users to route their telephone extension to a reserved workspace upon their arrival or at pre-selected times. Phone switching capability is also available with Cisco VoIP and Nortel, Avaya, and Siemens PBX systems. AgilQuest owns the patent for the integration of telephony with workplace management.

Version 5 enhances the end user experience with a complete redevelopment of the Web-based Mobile Worker interface. Individuals may now tailor the interface to reach their most used functions quickly. A new “Express Reservation” feature streamlines the reservation process for Mobile Workers by saving reservation preferences.

Version 5 also provides an enhanced “wait list” feature so that desired rooms that are booked can be reassigned automatically when and if they become available. Users that wish to establish recurring reservations will benefit from a new date-conflict resolution feature. Lastly, the Cisco-based Internet Protocol Phone Interface has been reworked to allow easier reservation, check-in and check-out processes using Cisco Unified Communications Manager.

AgilQuest provides systematic business solutions that help organizations maximize the use of their facilities and workspaces while enabling people to work whenever and wherever they need to work. For more information, see the Web site.
