August 25, 2008—Arcadia today announced the launch of its Ambient seating collection, a sophisticated series of guest and tandem seating solutions with compelling visual appeal from every angle, in the company’s words.
Beautifully designed with an elegant silhouette and harmonious presence, Ambient is appropriately scaled for corporate lobbies, executive offices and healthcare facilities, as well as hospitality, libraries and retail establishments, to name but a few of its numerous applications, says Arcadia.
Ambient seating is offered as single guest chairs as well as two, three and four-seat tandem models with a closed or partially closed back, open or upholstered panel arms, and is available in all standard as well as custom finishes. In addition, the collection includes optional intermediate, corner and end tables for tandem configurations not to mention accompanying occasional tables in a variety of shapes, sizes and styles.
With a focus on comfort and style, this seating classic boasts an elegant arm design that tastefully flares out from the back, tapers to a streamlined front, and features a recessed underside detail. A contoured leg shape and arched back further emphasize the distinctive design.
The Ambient guest and tandem series is Arcadia’s second collaboration with product designer Francisco Romero of PhiDesign, who is also credited with designing the accompanying Ambient occasional table collection that was introduced at year end of 2006.
