September 24, 2003—California-based Arcadia has announced Silero, its “classically curvaceous” new side chair and tandem seating series designed by David Dahl and Carl Muller, who have designed several other successful Arcadia lines.
The guest chair version of the product range includes three upholstered back variations—open, partial, and closed–combined with open or upholstered arm insets, each with across-the-desk seating and lobby/waiting area suitability. The design of the chair follows a subtle bending of the straight line, most notably at the top of the armrest frame, according to Arcadia.
In another application designed for healthcare facilities, educational libraries, and even automobile dealerships, seating can be specified as in-line, right-angle, or continuous tandem configurations with two, three, or four seats, with or without linking tables.
