May 12, 2004—Southern California-based Arcadia announced the official launch of Serafina, the contract furniture company’s newest lounge series blending classical European design with an international flair.
Serafina juxtaposes its overall stand out shape with dramatic curved wood arm panels. Available in the lounge, the double-seat love seat, and three-cushion sofa, the series’ three components and complementary occasional tables fit smartly into a wide range of general work and wait environments.
David Dahl, the award-winning designer and long-time collaborator with Arcadia, specially created Serafina to highlight an overall traditional European design sensibility with a dominant design feature.
With three classic arm choices of wood panel, wood with inset bolsters—or free of arms altogether—Serafina is also available with an ottoman, in warm as well as brilliant solid or two-toned upholstery, fixed legs or casters, and with a broad palette of finish options.
With its updated graphic identity system and “Designing Options, Furnishing Answers” tagline in place, Arcadia will feature Serafina during NeoCon 2004 in its permanent showroom at Chicago’s Merchandise Mart.
