Arcadia’s new Hush modular lounge seating includes Private and Public

December 10, 2007—Arcadia announces the introduction of Hush, its newest modular lounge collection. The lounge series includes Hush Private and Hush Public. The collection includes private (high back) and public (low back) lounge chairs, straight and quarter-round connecting tables, optional accessories, and accompanying benches and occasional tables.

Measuring over 45 inches high, the Hush Private lounge series affords the opportunity to create private spaces within a small footprint by fulfilling the dual requirements of seating and a privacy barrier. When seated, the back height provides just enough clearance to allow selective visibility while indicating to others that the unit is occupied, notes the company.

Ideal for one or for many, the modular aspects of the Hush Private allow configuration flexibility whether the need is for individual pods, two-person love seats, large-scale environments, or anything in between. To further enhance its functional capabilities, inset table options as well as a rotating tablet and cup holder are also available.

Whereas the Hush Private series promotes a sense of privacy within open spaces, Hush Public supports more traditional environments with low-back lounge, love seat, and sofa options as well as modular configurations by themselves or with three sizes of connecting tables.

Designed by award-winning duo David Ritch and Mark Saffell of 5D Studio, Hush is a testament to the designers’ desire to take an in-depth look at the waiting experience.
