ARCHIBUS and CEC team up for solutions to environmental management needs

February 18, 200—For clients in need of specific environmental management, ARCHIBUS, Inc., and Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC), have entered into a strategic partnership to provide a comprehensive package of software and services so that clients can mitigate the risk of non-compliance with environmental programs while reporting on the conditions of their assets. ARCHIBUS is a leading developer of total infrastructure and facilities management solution; CEC is an environmental engineering and consulting firm.

Together, the two companies will market, deploy, and support Total Environmental Asset Management System (TEAMS) software applications. These software applications include functionality for Compliance and Financial Management, Environmental Monitoring and Data Management, Waste/Residuals Management, and Material Data Safety Sheet (MSDS) Management.

The TEAMS solution will help users address environmental compliance issues, such as reporting and financial management, as compliance with various global and industry standards becomes a top priority for organizations around the world. ARCHIBUS points out that “the recent passage of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act reinforces SEC regulations regarding asset accountability and requires certification at the executive suite level, under threat of civil and criminal liability.” TEAMS, adds ARCHIBUS, provides corporate executives and business leaders a tool that allows transparent assessment of their firm’s compliance record and environmental liabilities, while at the same time facilitating efficient management of their entire programs.
