November 26, 2007—ARCHIBUS, Inc., a leading provider of real estate, infrastructure and facilities management software, announced that it is renaming its flagship software solution to reflect its long- standing evolution beyond a facilities management niche.
The company’s ARCHIBUS/FM suite of applications is being renamed simply ARCHIBUS. By removing FM from the software’s name, the company is signaling that its portfolio of applications has progressed beyond its original market focus as the company celebrates its 25th anniversary in 2008.
In the years since the company was started in 1982, the ARCHIBUS suite of applications has evolved into the most comprehensive collection of management, planning, and analysis tools in the industry for managers and executives at every level.
The renamed ARCHIBUS applications portfolio supports native Oracle, Microsoft SQL, and Sybase databases, along with complete bi-directional integration with Autodesk AutoCAD for easy cross-platform access and viewing of architectural drawings.
