September 4, 2002—ARCHIBUS, Inc., a developer of facilities and infrastructure management solution, has introduced a number of enhancements to its ARCHIBUS/FM Enterprise Edition.
ARCHIBUS/FM Version 12.2 is fully compatible with Autodesk’s AutoCAD 2002, Sybase Adaptive Server Anywhere 8, Oracle 9i, and Microsoft Windows XP Professional. It also includes a new Emergency Preparedness application, increased language options, and improved usability features.
The new Emergency Preparedness application allows organizations to respond quickly in the event of a disaster. The application leverages facilities and infrastructure information residing in the ARCHIBUS/FM database to help organizations deliver critical information that can minimize the loss of life and property during a crisis. Organizations may use this information to create detailed response and recovery plans.
According to ARCHIBUS, this application offers tools for generating reports on locations of hazardous materials, egress plans, headcounts, the chain effects of system failures, and more. The application also lets users create contingency plans, including employee relocation options, which help ensure business continuity in the event of an emergency. A condition assessment tool allows organizations hit by disaster to plan for recovery.
ARCHIBUS/FM Version 12.2 also offers enhanced usability features, such as the ability to produce trend reports for historical tracking, summarize data by multiple criteria simultaneously, and perform quick searches through thousands of records based on specific restriction criteria.
Current users who participate in an annual software subscription program with ARCHIBUS, Inc. receive the enhancements free of charge. End-users with previous versions of ARCHIBUS/FM can upgrade at a fee. For more information, contact ARCHIBUS.
