March 21, 2005—ARCHIBUS, Inc., has announced support for AutoCAD 2006 next generation design software from Autodesk, Inc., for the building, manufacturing, infrastructure, digital media and wireless data services fields. AutoCAD 2006 software allows users to create, manage and share design information.
A long-time member of the Autodesk Developer Network, ARCHIBUS, Inc. is focused on helping its customers realize true efficiency gains in enterprise space and asset management, the company says. The new features in AutoCAD 2006 make it easier for ARCHIBUS customers to extract lifecycle information from their existing architectural designs and use this data for strategic planning, lease management, asset disposition, emergency preparedness, and other mission-critical facilities/infrastructure functions, the company says.
AutoCADs new annotation tools and Heads-Up Design features make it faster and easier than ever to overlay ongoing management information and thematic analyses over the underlying architectural content and to keep the two kinds of digital data synchronized through moves, capital projects, and renovations, the company says.
