May 23, 2003—Ariba Inc., an enterprise spend management solutions provider, has unveiled new upgrades to its Ariba Spend Management solution set. According to the company, the enhanced solution is the first to provide—in a single, comprehensive, and integrated platform—the capabilities to manage the full, closed-loop cycle of services spend, at multiple levels within the enterprise, while providing the flexibility to address the specific needs of a broad range of service categories.
Ariba Spend Management will enable companies to substantially decrease the costs associated with managing a broad range of services categories, such as information technology, facilities management, field maintenance, travel, and others. It includes specialized features that address non-PO procurement, supplier collaboration, bundled pricing, service level/milestone-based agreements, and rich services spend data.
The latest version of the Ariba Spend Management solution set is expected to become available by June 2003.
