How HON’s four table shapes can supercharge hybrid meeting productivity

January 31, 2025 With hybrid work and hybrid meetings here to stay, thoughtful workplace design is essential to enhance collaboration, productivity and inclusivity. The Preside conference table series from The HON Company is meeting the hybrid challenge head-on with four innovative shapes, developed to address mixed-presence meetings and equally engage all attendees.

The tables’ softer, organic shapes optimize viewing angles for in-person and remote attendees by eliminating the traditional head-of-table position and removing barriers like sharp corners or obstructive table legs.

These four new shapes foster an environment where everyone is included in the conversation so that meetings can be productive for all attendees:

  • Chevron – An angled front edge with radiused corners promotes interaction between two users while providing clear monitor viewing angles.
  • Tapered – An angled, linear profile fans users in front of the monitor, creating an optimal field of view.
  • Boomerang – A wide angle supports spaces with multiple monitors while granting users clear sightlines to one another.
  • Media Tapered – A shortened, tapered shape enables optimal viewing for users in a mounted table solution.
