November 8, 2006—ISSA, international trade association for the cleaning industry and co-producer of ISSA/INTERCLEAN shows, has been named the Green Group of the Month by The Ashkin Group, a green cleaning consulting group.
Ashkin praised ISSA “for wielding unmatched influence in supporting the green movement through its events, seminars, educational resources, publications, and much more.” The announcement was made in The Ashkin Group’s monthly e-newsletter, “DestinationGreen.”
“The proliferation of green products exhibited at the 2006 ISSA/INTERCLEAN (USA) Exhibition and Tradeshow left no doubt about the commitment and power of the ISSA to green the cleaning industry,” reads the e-newsletter. “The same holds true for the ISSA’s recent announcement that it will produce a special edition of the book Green Cleaning for Dummies for commercial or institutional cleaning operations. Another example is that a search for ‘green cleaning’ on the ISSA Web site uncovers a list of more than 300 related articles.”
