January 27, 2006—ASIS International (ASIS), the preeminent organization for security professionals worldwide, has announced the winners in its “Power of Certification Campaign”—an initiative designed to increase the number of security professionals earning the organization’s coveted Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Professional Certified Investigator (PCI) and Physical Security Professional (PSP) designations.
Throughout the 15-month campaign, security professionals who were already certified were asked to promote and encourage others to pursue certification by sharing the power of certification on their own careers—benefits such as higher salaries, more opportunities, increased confidence and respect from others. More than 230 people participated in the initiative, providing information, resources and exam preparation advice culminating in the more than 800 candidates who received their certifications during this same period.
Founded in 1955, ASIS is dedicated to increasing the effectiveness and productivity of security professionals by developing educational programs and materials that address broad security interests, such as the ASIS Annual Seminar and Exhibits, as well as specific security topics.
