January 17, 2005—ASIS International (ASIS), global organization for security management professionals, has announced the launch of a new e-newsletter, Security Management Weekly, which will summarize 15 important security news stories for the week. The first day Security Management Weekly was distributed was January 7, and it will be published every Friday afternoon.
The informational newsletter will feature in-depth analysis and breaking news on a range of critical issues, including computer security, global risk management, loss prevention, preemployment screening, and business continuity planning. The 15 stories in each will be grouped into three categories: corporate security, homeland security, and cyber security, and will be culled from thousands of publications.
Security Management Weekly will be sent free of charge to all ASIS members with e-mail addresses, and to non-member industry professionals and the general business public who register on the Security Management Web site.
