January 10, 2007—Addressing the technical, legal, and managerial aspects of the hazardous materials field, the new Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHHM) Examination Study Guide is now available exclusively through the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE). This CD-ROM study guide is an aid for individuals preparing for the Institute of Hazardous Materials Management’s certification examination leading to the designation of CHMM.
The study guide has six subject areas: management principals; selected Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations; selected Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations; fire protection and personal protective equipment (PPE) topics; scientific principals; and toxicology and radiation topics.
Each subject area in the training portion provides a summary of the material covered in all areas of the Institute of Hazardous Materials Management’s certification examination; more than 600 review questions and answers; and a quiz for each subject area. The subject area study sessions also offer useful definitions, formulas, and sample calculations. A student score report is given for each quiz and for the post-training comprehensive test.
