Asset Systems releases revamped AssetWIN 2007 asset tracker

September 28, 2007—Asset Systems, Inc., has announced the immediate availability of AssetWIN 2007, a fully reengineered version of its flagship asset tracking application.

Since its original introduction in 1995, AssetWIN has provided a broad range of functional capabilities ideally suited for the high volume asset manager, says the company. This release is written using Microsofts .NET framework and includes substantial architectural improvements to the application and the database. A streamlined vocabulary is introduced with this version to ease the user’s understanding of the system’s operations. The user interface has been revamped with an eye to reducing clicks and consolidating functions and forms, notes Asset Systems.

The focus of this release, explains Asset Systems, is the asset manager in a large organization that is tasked with monitoring a diverse asset base. Often, this user needs to tailor asset views, data elements and reports to various departmental requirements while maintaining a central repository for financial reporting. By simply assigning a data category to assets, the application automatically organizes these tasks.

AssetWIN 2007 not only provides various functional capabilities for each department but also adds a tool set to address the preferences of each individual user, according to the company.
