At-Bristol, a 97.3 million Millennium landmark project in the UK, has selected AMEC to provide mechanical and electrical services to the 11-acre site situated in Bristol’s Harbourside area. AMEC has been providing At-Bristol with various services since July 2000, but now AMEC will have a resident team of engineers on-site. The contract was awarded to AMEC facilities following a competitive tendering process with two other FM companies.
At-Bristol’s attractions include the largest IMAX Theater in the West; Wildscreen, a natural history center complete with an indoor tropical rainforest with free-flying birds and butterflies; and Explore, a science center that looks at the technology around us using the latest hands-on and multimedia techniques.
