Several Australian property services associations joined forces to form a new lobbying group in January 2001. The new Australian Property Services Alliance (APSA) includes the Australian Building Services Association (ABSA), Australian Environmental Pest Managers Association, ABSA Security Division, National Upholstery & Carpet Cleaning Association (NUCCA), Waste Management Association of Australia and Facilities Management Australia (FMA).
At an initial meeting of interested parties held mid-January, it was unanimously agreed to form the body and meet regularly. ABSA will provide the national secretariat and ABSA’s national president is the Alliance’s chairman.
