July 9, 2002—Autodesk, Inc., has garnered CADENCE magazine’s July 2002 Editor’s Choice Award for Autodesk Architectural Studio, a conceptual design creation and multimedia communication environment for architects and other building industry professionals.
Granted twice yearly, the award recognizes Autodesk as a design technology leader that has moved the building industry forward by bringing to market Architectural Studio, an innovative digital design environment that combines the advances of pen-based input technology with the simplicity of freehand architectural methods.
CADENCE chose Architectural Studio because of its powerful yet simple drawing, collage and modeling tools that replicate the workflow of a traditional design studio. Commending the product as an “ideal platform” for the soon-to-be-released Tablet PC, CADENCE editors were also impressed by its ability to connect designers with project team members for real-time design collaboration.
