Committed to advancing its current technology, Autodesk helps customers realize their ideas with improved data translation across software applications and enhanced rendering of 3D files and CAD data.
An update to Autodesk DirectConnect software is available for download from the product center section of the Autodesk Web site.
This release features multiple improvements to the existing DirectConnect tool, allowing for faster and more robust data translation and enhanced data fidelity.
Autodesk DirectConnect is a family of data translators that enables users to import CAD data into other Autodesk software applications, including Autodesk AliasStudio, Autodesk Showcase, and Autodesk ImageStudio software.
In addition, according to Autodesk, the following translators are available:
- Autodesk DirectConnect for CATIA V5: Autodesk Showcase users can import CATIA V5 product and part files. A separate Autodesk DirectConnect for CATIA V5 license is required.
- Autodesk DirectConnect for DWG/DXF: Users of Autodesk AliasStudio 13.0.2 can import Autodesk AutoCAD drawing files (DWG) and Drawing interchange format (DXF) files. No separate Autodesk DirectConnect license is required.
An update to Autodesk ImageStudio 3.0 software is available for download from the product center section of the Autodesk Web site.
This release presents a number of improvements since the release of ImageStudio in October 2005.
